Annual Valentine’s Day Love Project: Linoleum Prints.

Born on the East Coast near the Jersey Shore, my family spent many weekends at the ocean. My many memories of the Shore inspired this work. A Linoleum print is a printmaking technique similar to a woodcut. The linoleum block is carved as a reverse relief surface. The raised area is then rolled with color and pressed on paper. Each of the birds was hand-embellished with acrylic paint. The final piece is layered with colors and has a wavy raised texture.
