This imagery is part of my "Tchotchke series." These adorable salt and pepper shakers were found at a resale shop and perfect fodder for a staged still life. I arranged them on my tiled kitchen counter, a familiar environment. Each, with whimsical smiles, holds a fish, one by the tail and one by the head, one light colored for salt, one darker colored for pepper, such a cute pair.
